Though the expulsion of PMK from the DMK front in Tamil Nadu is an accomplished fact, Thirumavalavan, the leader of the ‘Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi’(VCK) one of the constituents of the ruling DMK front, who has not liked the dumping of PMK from the alliance, offered to play the role of a mediator, to patch up the differences between them and to reconciliate the relationship between the two parties and ultimately to readmit PMK into the DMK front.
On Friday, Thirumavalavan met the DMK President and the Chief Minister Mr.Karunanithi and persuaded him to sink the differences between them and readmit PMK back into the DMK front.
Responding to his request, Mr.Karunanithi has laid down a condition for reconsidering the decision of expulsion provided that PMK makes an effort to persuade the Vanniarsangam leader and the Ex-MLA Kaduvetty Guru who has made an inflammatory and derogatory speech against him and his ministerial colleagues, should come forward seeking the pardon from his colleagues for what he has said against them.
Meanwhile PMK had convened a meeting to criticize the decision of the DMK to expel PMK even without consulting its constituents.
Though Mr.Thirumavalavan has been making his efforts sincerely, it is highly unlikely that a reconciliation is possible between DMK and PMK, considering DMK’s further steps taken at
