Srinagar, November 14 (Scoop News) – J&K Chief Minster, Omar Abdullah had six and a half hour continuous interaction with different delegations, individuals, social groups of Srinagar at his private office, Sonwar here today.
A total number of 4391 persons in the form of combined delegations as well as individual capacity had a direct and easy access with Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to project their problems in a free and frank manner and Chief Minister issued on the spot orders to address the genuine grievances.

Various individuals who had their problems with regard to release of salaries, seniority, compassionate appointments etc in different departments of the government were given patient hearing and respective heads of departments were directed to redress the genuine grievances of such persons without any delay.
Various deputations and individuals met with the Chief Minister and put forth their demands and problems which mainly were connected with development like PHE, R&B, Power, ERA, employment, compassionate appointments, relief for handicapped, relief for crop failure due to hailstorm etc. In addition, various individuals met Omar Abdullah having health problems and requested for medical aid.
Regarding employment opportunities, Omar Abdullah said that government has already announced that all the vacant posts in various departments are being filled up purely in transparent manner adding the newly Sher-i-Kashmir Employment package was further strengthened recently so that maximum educated youth could be accommodated within the purview of the package. He advised the youth to come forward in a big way to avail the benefits of this historic scheme.
The Chief Minister advised the individuals, handicapped and other youth who met him to take full benefit of various self group schemes, social welfare schemes, skill development schemes and industrial schemes which have been mainly tailored to address their unemployment menace.
Some delegations and individuals and hundreds of persons who were recently retrenched from the private services by private businessmen and other private institutions who suffered colossal loss in recent turmoil met the Chief Minister and apprised him of their problems. Omar advised them to take benefit of various schemes of the government and hoped that private sector which has suffered during recent past will not only survive but will also work with enthusiasm to fill up all the losses they have suffered in the recent past.
While talking to a deputation of Rehbar-e-Zirat, the Chief Minister said that the government is actively considering this matter and action in this regard will be taken in due course of time after taking various things into consideration.
Regarding a complaint of illegal constructions, the Commissioner, SMC was directed on the spot to examine the case and take action under law.
