Kargil,December 24, (Scoop News)-Chehlum-e-Hussaini was observed in Kargil despite of chilling temperature of minimum -13 degree Celsius. People from all walk of life from all over the district in the form of mourning procession reached Kargil Town at 11am in the morning.
The processions were chanting Noha and beating their chest and back and doing Zanjeeri Matam passing through Islamia School Kargil, Khomini Chowk, Lak Chowk and concluded at Inqilab Manzil (Qatilgah-e-Hussaini) Kargil and Hussaini Park Kargil.
The Processions were under the banner of Islamia School and IKMT Kargil. At Islamia School Kargil Hojatul-islam-wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Amini delivered sermons explaining the importance of the Day of Chehlum-e-Hussaini in the islamic calendar.
Hojatul-Islam-wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Mujtaba threw light on the philosophy of Karbala and termed Karbala as a mission for humanism to establish peace and prosperity in the world. He further added that people should follow the teachings of
Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s) the ambassador of peace in the history of humanity so that in this era of unrest and disturbed society.
Hojatul-Islam-wal-muslimeen Sheikh Ali Elmi preformed Ziyarat-e-Arbaien.
Acting President and Vice President of Ulima Council Islamia School Kargil Hojatul-Islam-wal-muslimeen Aga Syed Jamal-ud-Din in his speech appreciated the efforts maid by Deputy Commissioner Kargil Fida Hussain and his team for the smooth conduct of Chehlum-e-Hussain in Kargil. He thanked Medical Department for health camps, PHE for drinking water arrangements, Police for security, Municipal
Committee Kargil, Taxi Union and all volunteers.
At last he prayed for the peace and prosperity of the State and country and for the betterment of the whole humanity.
Mean while Shia Federation Jammu province has expressed satisfaction over successful and overall peaceful conduct of Cherruhum in the province. Ashiq Hussain Khan, president of the Shia Federation Jammu province has expressed thanks on behalf of the federation to the Jammu divisional administration for making fool proof arrangements for Muharram celebrations all over the region.
Ashiq Hussain has particularly thanked the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, divisional commissioner Jammu, IGP Jammu, DDC Jammu, SSP Jammu, DC Poonch, SSP Poonch and other authorities in Mendhar, Surankote and Chanderkot in Ramban Distt for the arrangements made by them for Cherruhum celebrations. He has also conveyed his thanks to the members of all other communities for extending full cooperation and hospitality to the mourners during Cherruhum processions.
The Federation has expressed thanks to the participants in the Cherruhum procession, who besides from Jammu City, had come from Mendhar, Surankote, Kargil and Chanderkot etcetera. Particularly the youth and students from all these places studying in Jammu had participated in large numbers in the procession.
The peaceful conduct of Cherruhum has given rebuff to some disruptive elements who had set afloat rumours of violence during the procession. Ashiq Hussain has expressed gratitude to members of all other religious communities for their support and arrangements made by them in various streets en route procession for the comfort of mourners.
