They also participated in the Annual Day function of Islamia Faridia Educational Institute which is the oldest largest community school in the area where 2500 students are getting education, 300 out of these are orphan.
Speaking at a largely gathering . Rana lauded the teachings of the great sufi who worked for promotion of peace and brotherhood. He also appreciated the effort of the Educational Institute in quality providing education to a large number of students in the area.
He said that the development of far flung areas like Kishtwar is the priority of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and efforts are on to explore the Hydro-power potential of the area with the commissioning of half a dozen new power projects in the area adding that these power projects will go a long way in improving the revenue generation and solving the problem of employment in Kishtwar and adjoining areas.

Nasir Aslam Wani, while speaking on the occasion said that government is committed to provide equitable developmental avenues to all the regions particularly the far-flung areas and a number of road projects have been taken up to improve connectivity in the Kishtwar area. He said that a comprehensive project of providing drinking water to Kishtwar town and Mandal area with an estimated cost of Rs. 42 crore has been sanctioned recently.
He also reiterated the resolve of the government to explore the area’s tourism potential and said that the department is contemplating to take students of the Faridia Institute to Gulmarg for Show skiing adding that department will provide training to 100 youth in Tourism industry.
Minister of State for Haj and Auqaf, while paying rich tributes to Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib said that the the role of such sufi’s and saints who rose above the worldly considerations and showed the humanity, the path of peace and brotherhood is always admirable.

Sajad Ahmed Kitchloo while speaking on the occasion lauded the efforts of the government in opening the university campus, government polytechnic college and TMT school in the district and said that these educational institutions shall definitely transform the educational profile of the people of the area.
