Tickets for the Cricket World Cup quarter-final match between defending champions Australia and hosts India to be played at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Motera stadium here, are sold out, the Gujarat Cricket Association said these days.
There were huge queues to urge entry into over forty eight,000 capability stadium as folks had started lining up from last night for the high profile match when it became clear that India can play Australia, GCA said.
"All the tickets are sold out," GCA secretary Rajesh Patel said.
Hundreds of fans had to come disappointed and there was minor lathi-charge by police to regulate the group.
Those who had waited overnight for tickets to the match complained that though officially tickets were sold out, tickets were on the market in black.
