Time is not on Obama’s Side

While Hillary Clinton is Barack Obama’s only opponent in the race to become the Democratic nominee for US President, there is another formidable adversary in the form of the clock. In the case of the clock, time is running out for Obama.

With only three days left before the Super Tuesday primaries with about half of the delegates in the Democratic contest is to be awarded, Obama has to use this time to speed throughout the country. Time is not on Obama’s side.

Tuesday, he would visit his grandfather’s hometown of El Dorado, Kansas. Most of the residents did not know until then that Obama did have roots in Kansas. From there, it would be to big rallies in Kansas City, Missouri. After Missouri, Obama would head out to Denver, Colorado to Phoenix Arizona, and making his way to Los Angeles, California.

Friday, Obama would be in Albuquerque, and Santa Fe, New Mexico and then to Boise, Idaho.

According to polls and election results, they suggest that if Obama uses more time to present himself to the voters, the better he will do. Clinton had kept level support in the polls that lead up to the contests in each of the first four states that were sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Hillary’s victory in Florida had gauge how much Obama relies on contact with the voters.

But, Obama’s efforts are paying off. His standing in the polls is getting close to Clinton’s. However, there is the matter if Obama still has enough time to make up that gap.

The schedule is compressed, so no doubt Senator Clinton has an advantage going into February 5 states,” said Obama. He added: “She’s better known, and I’m still being introduced to a lot of casual voters in the other states.”
