MINGORA, April 9 :- The Chief of Tahrik-e-Nifaz Shariat Muhammadi (TNSM), Maulana Sufi Muhammad did not pull out himself from the much trumpeted Swat peace deal and only has announced ending of peace camp at Makan Bagh here in militancy-hit Swat district, a senior government official said on Thursday.
“Maulana Sufi Muhammad is with us in the ongoing peace process in Swat valley and did not pulled himself back from the Swat peace deal signed by TNSM and NWFP Government,” Mr Javed told APP.
He said that Sufi Muhammad has assured us full cooperation for establishment of peace and harmony in Malakand Division. “No body should worry about ending of peace camp in Swat. We are in touch with Maulana Sahib and peace process will continue in Swat unabated,” the Commissioner Malakand elaborated.
Mr Javed said that Buner situation is being defused with peace Jirga. He said that jirga still continue in his office and was discussing ways and means to help restore peace in Swat and Buner districts.
“Three policemen and two persons were killed during recent Buner bloody incidents,” he said when asked. He said that situation in Buner was under the control of district administration.
The Commissioner Malakand Divison said that he has made contact with Sufi Muhammad and assured him that the promise made regarding Adle regulations would be fulfilled.
Javed said that appointment of Qazi courts was one of the major demands of Sufi Muhammad which was fulfilled by the government. He said that Qazi courts have been setup with an objective to provide speedy justice to litigants.
Meanwhile, the TNSM Chief Maulana Sufi Mohammad has announced end of Swat peace camp at Makan Bagh here in Swat and shifted to Amandara in Lower Dir.
Sufi Mohammad told reporters here that the provincial government was sincere regarding Swat peace deal. However he expressed his concerns over the attitude of federal government.
He said that he is not withdrawing from peace deal and only ending camp in protest. Sufi Muhammad said that peace is directly linked with urgent enforcement of Nizam-e-Adl regulations.
He said that whole responsibilities would lied on the shoulders of rulers if law and order situation deteriorate in the area. He urged President to sign the Adle regulations 2009 to bring lasting peace to the valley.
