Tofu Barbecue with Citrus for Thanksgiving Day

Half a century ago, President Eisenhower proclaimed the "Thanksgiving Day"the day when all the Americans should celebrate the richness and beauty of their land, the ideals of freedom, justice and hope that should be the lifeblood of the nation.

Only in the United States, more than 40 million turkeys are eaten every year during the holiday weekend. Usually the turkey is served with the sauce and the filling.

The cranberry sauce is traditional, made with fresh or frozen berries. Some traditional recepies for Thanksgiving are the sweet potatoes, combined with sugar, spices and butter.

Other vegetarian dishes are the salads, followed by the traditional pumpkin pie and whipped cream.

Tofu barbecue with citrus for Thanksgiving Day

Difficulty: reduced

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

400 grams of Tofu

2 pieces of lemon

1 / 4 cups (250ml) orange juice

2 tablespoons of maple syrup

2 tsp of apple vinegar

1 tsp of olive oil

1 1 / 2 tsp of rosemary

2 pieces of garlic

1 1 / 2 tsp of soy sauce

1/2 tsp of black pepper od of preparation:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl,excepting the tofu Cut the tofu into 8-9 slices, put it in a large bowl and then pour the content of the first bowl over it. Cover and put in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.

Prepare the grid at a medium temperature and clean it with olive oil. Put the slices of Tofu on the grid ,5 minutes on each side.
