Top leadership of BJP to participate in 1-day delibrations in Jammu

Jammu, December 01 (Scoop News) – BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas today said that the top dignatories of the Bartiya Janta party are arriving Jammu include National President Nitin Gadkari, L. K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, and Chief Ministers/ Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP ruling states. 

 

Addressing a a press conference at party headquarters today Shamsher Singh Manhas said these leaders are  ariving Jammu on December 23 and 24 to participate  in series of functions, including Maha Rally, to delibrate upon the political and security situation in J&K and the role of both State and UPA governments in meeting the challenges.

 

He said they will delibrate on major issues of political and secutrity nature facing Jammu and Kashmir, especially in view of the Omar Abdullah- led government’s changing stand on various issues governing the relationship of Jammu and Kashmir with Union of India, he said, adding that the top brass of the party will also hold discussions with the local leadership on issues like continued discrimination of Jammu province by the government on matters of allotment of funds, employment and developmental activities.

 

Important matters with regard to delimitation of assembly constituecies. inflitration, compensation to victims, transporters, traders and businesmen during  2008 Amarnath land row agitation and the challenges posed by state government’s rehabilitation policy of those militants, who had received armed training in Pakistan and PoK since 1990 and were still contuniuing to live across the border .Besides, the issues of  unemployment and citizenship rights of refugees would also remain on agenda during the delibrations,Manhas said.

The 1-day delibrations would be followed by a Maha Rally at Parade Ground on December 24, where senior party leaders would address the workers and citizens of the state. 

 

Criticising the State Chief Minister for falling in the trap of seccesionist and seni-seccessionist forces, Manhas said that Omar Abdullah has been taking steps one after another which were harming the interests not only of common citizens of the state but also posing threat to national security.

Begining with his controversial statement on the floor of House that J&K had not merged with India, Omar Abdullah took a cabinet decision to bring back the trained militants staying in Pakistan and PoK and rehabilitate them in the state, Manhas said adding his latest decision of delimitarising Sringar city by reducing the number of security forces and removing bunkers too has come under the attack from the army authorities.

The BJP Chief said that it was unfortunate that Congress-led UPA at the centre has been endorsing his every stand without realising the dangrous consequences these could have on the integerity and sovereignty of the country.

 BJP State General Secretary Sat Sharma  was also present in the Press Conference.
