Jammu, November 29 (Scoop News) – The newly constructed Girls Hostel for Ladakhi students at Muthi, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.19 crore has been completed. The 3 -storey hostel complex has been designed to accommodate 100 female students of the Ladakh region who come to pursue their higher studies in educational institutions of Jammu. The Complex comprising 33 rooms with all modern facilities would accommodate 100 students at a time.
The Minister for Tourism and Culture Nawang Ragzin Jora who visited the Hostel complex to inspect the status of construction work was told by the authorities.
Jora went round each section of the Complex and took stock of the facilities available there. He said that the Hostel Complex would be inaugurated soon and deserving students of the region provided accommodation facilities so that they could not face any difficulty while pursuing their higher education at Jammu.
The Minister was told that the complex is spread over 3.7 kanals of land and has been completed within a short period of time to provide succor to Ladakhi girl students.
Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Vinod Sharma, Superintending Engineer, JDA P.R Sargotra, besides other senior officers accompanied the Minister.
