Jammu, October 24, (Scoop News)- 130th birth anniversary of Sher-e- Duggar Pt. Premnath Dogra was celebrated in a programme organized at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Chowk with performing of havan, garlanding statue of Panditji besides distribution of Prashad.
BJP State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, while remembering the services of Panditji, said that Panditji dedicated his life for the upliftment of downtrodden and spent every movement for unity of state with rest of the country. He was great soul who was instrumental in leading Praja Parishad agitation, which ultimately culminated into success and it is high time to remember all those who have sacrificed their lives at the instance of Pt. Premnath Dogra for Ek Pradhan, Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan.
Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria appealed the workers to follow the path of dedication shown by Late Panditji and should maintain high standard as political worker. He further appealed that our workers and leaders should fight corrupt practices existing in the present system.
BJP Kashmir Cell National Co-Convenor Chander Mohan Sharma (Adv.), while addressing the gathering narrated the achievements of late Pt. Prem Nath Dogra describing him a tallest leader of his time in J&K who led famous Praja Parishad Movement for achievement for complete implementation of Constitution of India over J&K state. It was Pt. Premnath Dogra who inspired Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee and leadership of Jana Sangh to join Praja Parishad agitation. As most respected personality he was equally respected by his political opponents, he said.
