Troops filled in Kabul – Holbrooke Visit
Afghanistan – Kabul: On Thursday the new U.S. envoy for the region of Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke expected to first visit Afghanistan. Wednesday the Taliban attackers carried out deadly attacks on Justice Ministry, Education Ministry and the office of prison buildings in the Afghan capital Kabul. Armed Afghan troops are filled in the Kabul streets.
Wednesday Eight Taliban suicide attackers died, some blew themselves up, and while others were killed by security guards they tried to kill as many people. Zabiullah Mujaheed Taliban spokesman says shortly after the attacks began, the suicide bombers were trying to kill the justice minister. Taliban assault kills 26 people and nearly 60 injured.
Afghan Officials says justice minister was not hurt. The United States and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned attacks as a "horrendous crime against civilians" and "a total disrespect of human rights."
Afghan Officials investigating the possibility militant groups in Pakistan are linked to the assault said Amrullah Saleh Afghanistan’s security chief.
