Tongu: In the Pacific Ocean the Richter scale reads an earthquake of measuring 7.9 in south of the Tonga islands. Immediately the pacific region alarmed for tsunami, it was issued on the Fiji and Tonga islands, but was later withdrawn. There are no immediate reports of casualties and damage in Pacific Ocean.
A submarine volcano explodes, sending steam, ash and rocks hundreds of meters into the air. After that in recent weeks Tonga has felt a series of earth shakes. Tonga lies almost 2,000 kilometers northeast of New Zealand in the Pacific "Ring of Fire", where seismic and volcanic activity is frequent.
