Aircraft of the Atlas Jet company collapsed near the Isparta Province killing 49 passengers, including several prominent nuclear physicists on their way to a conference and 7 crews. The plane took off from Istanbul at 04.20 in the morning and crashed near the hilly regions of Keciborlu in the central Turkey. The reason for the mishap is yet to be revealed. The company chief said that the crash was not due to unfavorable climate.
They failed to receive the signals from the plane. After five hours of extensive search, the search helicopters found the remains of the craft.
