Annual Amarnath Yatra
Govt
under acid test as Jammu prepares to ignite
CHAMAN
KAUL
J&K,
June 30: After entire valley got engulfed with turmoil in just six days due
deaths of people in police firing, the beginning of annual Shri AmarnathJi
Yatra has put state government under acid test as situation in Jammu is getting
hotter. Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, Bhartiya
Janata Party and all other like minded parties are already monitoring emerging
situation in valley besides are at job of spreading feelers among the civil
society through media and public gathering meetings. Situation has reached to escalating
spot and only a minor atrocity upon Amarnath Yatra would be enough to get Jammu
ignited.
Situation
could be brightly ascertained by the developments which took place today, as on
one hand local administration with civil society discussed threadbare the
measure to not fall prey to rumors to maintain peace and tranquility in a
crucial time now and coming ahead. On the other Amarnath Sanghrash Samiti, which
spearheaded 2008 Amarnath land row agitation for 62 days unabated is all set to
meet on July 1st to discuss upon prevailing situation in Kashmir.
Burning of temple in Ananatnag, disrespect of armed forces and demoralization
of historic Amarnath Yatra are the main agendas.
Well
informed sources said that from the side of administration all the efforts are
being made in coordination with civil society to avoid unwanted circumstances
to emerge ever in this part of state. To accomplish the mission civil
administration and police authorities are leaving no stone unturned.
Sanghrash
Samiti on the other side has called an emergency meeting with Bar Association
of Jammu (BAJ), Brahmin Sabha, Rajput Sabha, Harijan Sabha, Jaat Sabha, Trade
and Transport Organizations, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Small Scale
Industries, Socials and religious Organizations ,Various Bazaar Associations, Student
Organizations and Pro-Jammu political parties to discuss future course of
action. It simply indicates that even a single episode of unwanted atrocity can
ignite Jammu.
Sources
closely monitoring proceedings of Yatra informed that government is doing its
level best to avoid any untoward act upon Yatra, to which Yatris are being
taken from one place to another during night hours. For the first day today
Yatris were stopped at several places in
lieu of weather dispute but the fact of matter is state government is taking
severe precautions to provide any chance to anti national elements to disrupt
Yatra to earn bad name for state and particularly for Valley, added sources.
