Twitter founders debunk live video-tweeting rumors

In an unsourced article published in Britian’s Telegraph, Twitter Founders were claimed to have been discussing an upgrade which would allow users to upload short video clips to their profiles from their mobile phone and other devices.

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone emailed in response to inquiries made by Mashable.com basically saying there will be no video upgrades to the social networking site. “140 characters of text including spaces. You know the drill!”, said Stone.

Users are tweeting about the upgrade rumors discovered earlier today. Some still have yet to realize the rumors are false.

Twitter’s response also clearly aknowledges existing video apps for the site, saying to duplicate them would, “undermine the trust of developers who invest huge amounts of time, money and energy in creating applications for the Twitter ecosystem.”

Some Twitter users say they don’t mind already using existing video apps for Twitter made from outside developers.
