Two Streaks End In Argentina

Boca fans had become spoiled in the past twenty months.  The last time they had experienced defeat at La Bombonera was at the hands of San Lorenzo back in February of 2007.

Last year’s surprise team, Tigre, came in and beat a battered Boca side 3-2 as they played with ten men for the majority of the match.

River Plate had never lost in its history in the province of Tucumán.   The surprise team of the Apertura, San Martín Tucuman soundly beat a group of players reserve players for the Millonarios 3-1 and virtually gave everyone the impression that the 33-time domestic champs conceded their domestic crown and instead will try to get that international monkey off their backs.

Besides sports both at the local level and internationally, I will be covering the Super Tuesday proceedings in Connecticut, which suddenly turned into a swing state here in New England. So check me out here as well as in my blog.
