The CIA apparently is continuing a secret program for supporting and training terrorists in Syria, the New York Times unveiled.
Under the administration direction the State Department is in charge of supplying nonlethal aid, while the CIA runs a covert program to arm and train Syrian militants, the newspaper suggested in numerous reports last year.
The CIA of course denies this, as it denies everything, but the facts seem to speak for themselves on such matters.
Meanwhile Russia told the United States in no uncertain terms that it would continue to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s campaign against foreign-backed radical Sunni Islamic militants, affiliated with Al-Qaeda. The remarks were made during a meeting between high-ranking Russian diplomats and US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman in Moscow on Friday.
Sherman was apparently shocked by the comments?
Recent press reports suggest Russia is shipping more arms and weapons, including unmanned drones to Syria to prevent Saudi Arabia and the United States from toppling the Assad regime and helping al-Qaeda establish an Islamic Sunni caliphate in the region.
Syria’s Permanent Envoy to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari said that the Saudi regime is involved in instigating people to terrorism and sending the terrorists to Syria under the pretext of Jihad.
“Those issues became confirmed starting from the statement of the Saudi foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal who admitted twice in Cairo that Saudi Arabia is arming the opposition… it is a clear confession,” al-Jaafari told al-Mayadeen TV.
United States is a key ally of Saudi Arabia , and supports it militarily despite the fact that Saudi Arabia is the key sponsor of terrorism around the world, including in places like Pakistan and Afghanistan where al-Qaeda affiliates and its Taliban allies are actively killing U.S. troops in combat.
A fact the U.S. seems to want to ignore as more and more U.S. troops get slaughtered and killed in Afghanistan.
Its a form of denial on the part of the Obama Administration – for sure – which ignores the fact that Saudi Arabia is the main instigator and supporter of terrorism around the world.
Also trending is a story that suggest the Russian FSB have advised Putin and his security council of a possible link between militants responsible for the massacre of civilians in Volgograd and Saudi Arabia. Also discussed within the context of such reports were possible military actions against Saudi Arabia if such terrorist attacks continue.
The Russian now operate on the belief that Saudi Arabia involvement in funding terrorism in the North Caucasus could be “an act of war” against Russia requiring a possible military response. How the U.S. might respond in such a situation is unclear, since it supports the Saudi dictatorship unequivocally.
