Nate Diaz Vs. Josh Neer
Nate Diaz(10-2) and Josh Neer (24-7-1)fought to Split decision. Nate Diaz pulled out the win by controlling the fight standing up and then just dominating the ground game. Neer even shook his head as if in disbelief when one of the judges had him as the winner. Neer really could not get any offense going every time the fight went to the ground Diaz scrabbled to a better position or got up and put it back to his feet. I previously predicted Diaz by choke which he tried several times but could not keep it locked.
Clay Guida vs. Mac Danzig
Clay Guida (24-6) pulled out a decision victiory of Mac Danzig. The fight was high pace and a lot of good take down and slams of Mac Danzig. Mac tried all night to put a submission on but could not lock one down. Clay was taking Mac down at will and holding him down. However, he was not able to go much else. This was not the most exciting fight but it had some great slams and a lot of submission attempts. In my preview article is said “This is going to be a great match of who can control their opponent expect this to go to the ground, I will give this to Danzig via choke, watch for the rear naked choke.” Mac let me down and was control all night on the ground.
