Islamabad, Pakistan: The ex-federal minister of minorities in Pakistan, Jai Salik, urged the United Nations to take into notice the plight of the minorities in India, where the condition of the minorities like Christians very miserable because of growing Hindu extremism.
Jai Salik, who is also an activist of Christian rights in Pakistan, he severely criticized the role of Indian politicians and Hindu extremist groups, racism, and the condition of minorities like Christians in the different states of India.
He was addressing a press briefing here in Islamabad today, he also mentioned that the world community should come forth to mount pressure on India, where the minorities are deprived of rights and other necessities of life too and even they cannot live according to their beliefs.
India is considered a secular and free country in the region but unfortunately it does not enjoy a good reputation in terms of the record of Human rights, that is rock-bottom and the attacks on the Churches and mosques by the extremist Hindu groups are common, whereas the violence against the minorities is on the crest of the wave.
