Unclear If Edwards Plans To Drop Out Or Fight On, Rivals Curious To Know

In regards to Monday night’s debate on CNN, it is highly likely that John Edwards would come out on top. He would look like the peacemaker while Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama went at it against each other with insults to persona, honesty, and character.

He would need whatever help he can muster at this point in the Democratic presidential race. So far, Edwards’ campaign has been looking for attention. Everything looks to have been consumed by the story of Obama and Clinton.

Edwards’ aides have already complained every way about the lack of attention that the candidate receives. So far, Edwards has lost Iowa which was a must-win state for him. He had fallen further back in New Hampshire and then again in Nevada.

His performance in Monday night’s CNN debate was most unusual. While Edwards helped Obama attack Clinton, it helped out Clinton and not Edwards, according to one of his most senior advisers.

Monday, Edwards was tough on both Obama and Clinton. It would look as if Edwards might have been tougher on Clinton than he was on Obama.

Edwards has vowed to continue to fight on to the Democratic national convention. If Edwards can manage to keep hitting 15 percent in upcoming contests, he could possibly play the role of powerbroker.

One Edwards staffer was approached by both the Clinton and Obama campaigns. Edwards had even had talks with both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Many deemed it unusual for Edwards and Clinton to talk as their relationship has been frosty. In the case of Obama, the two of them look to be natural allies that both have pushed for anti-Washington establishment messages against Hillary Clinton.

There is a high chance that Edwards supporters might go towards Obama if he is no longer seen as truly viable.

This is personal for me,” Edwards would often say about many issues.
