The Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture has approved the Andhra Pradesh government’s proposal for development of a heritage circuit connecting various places of spiritual, cultural and tourist importance in and around the temple city of Tirupati.
It has even accorded Mega project status to the proposal and sanctioned Rs. 46.52 crore for the development of State-run temples. The Government had forwarded a proposal to form a heritage circuit connecting a dozen temples and the famous Pulicat lake scattered across Chittoor and Nellore districts in order to improve infrastructure at Tirupati.
