The United States has proposed, among other things, arming the Ukrainian military to fight what it calls “Pro-Russian separatists.” They have done this already, according to some top level Russian military officials by urging NATO newest Eastern European members to hand over their Soviet era arms stockpiles to the Ukrainian Army.
This is under the guise of a massive US sponsored NATO modernization program to confront the threat posed by Russia?
In turn the US is ready to compensate these same NATO countries for their “losses”, said Russian Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin via his Twitter account recently.

In addition the US has proposed sending ” non lethal aid” to Ukrainian troops, in the form of uniforms and tents, as well promising to deploy a number of military advisers to train the Ukrainian Army to fight those seeking to affirm closer cultural, economic and political ties with Russia as opposed to the European Union?
In Congress a group of Republicans, including Senators McCain of Arizona and Bob Corker of Tennessee have recently urged President Obama to provide the Ukrainian military with direct military aid, specifically anti tank and anti aircraft weaponry, while paving the way for more economic sanctions targeting whole sections of the Russian economy -which some could argue is an act of war itself.
Instead of committing itself to seeking a peaceful resolution to the evolving conflict in Ukraine, the US is backing one side over the other in this conflict. This to such an extent of that it is militarizing the situation, in much the same way as it has in Syria with the funding of predominantly Sunni Islamic extremists and rebels, through its military allies in the Middle East in that country to fight against the government of President Assad.
Which, as anyone can tell you, is having a devastating effect on that country and making the situation much worse in the long run.
Resulting in more Syrians getting killed and wounded and prolonging the war, which has now spread like a cancer into Iraq and now threatens to destabilize the entire Middle East. Question: Since when is funding one side over the other in a bloody civil a was a good idea?
Now the US is doing the same thing in Ukraine?
Who comes up with such insane ideas I wonder?
