Fans of the University of Idaho Vandals football team have found something other than their 70-0 loss to Arizona earlier this season to complain about: the cheerleaders’ uniforms.
Some fans and school officials at Moscow, Idaho’s University of Idaho campus have complained that the Vandals cheerleading squad’s outfits are too revealing. Members of the squad have also complained saying that the tight outfits do not fit properly muchless flatter their figure.
Although the controversial uniforms look like most every other cheerleading squad in the country, halter tops with short skirts, the University’s athletic department understands the complaints and the team is ordering new uniforms.
The new uniforms for the Idaho Vandals cheerleading squad will still be a two-piece but will have a 6" longer skirt and a less revealing top. The University of Idaho athletic department has wrangled $2,200 in private funds to purchase the new outfits to replace the $4,200 spent on the original uniforms.
The new uniforms will debut on at the University of Idaho’s October 4th game against Nevada. Chances are they won’t help the 1-3 Vandals capture a win on the football field.
