CHHATTISGARH / J & K: BJP Kissan Morcha, under the
leadership of its National President Om Prakash Dankar, organized 2-day Parshikshan Shivir at Raipur in Chhattisgarh
from Feb. 26 to 27 with the slogan of “Vision 2025”.
BJP former National President Rajnath Singh, in his
inaugural address said that NDA government provided bank loans to the farmers @
Rs. 4 per cent. Simultaneously, an insurance scheme for crops of the farmers
was introduced to provide security to them during natural calamity.
Om Prakash Dankar told that today cost of production of
farmers is high than what he earns on produce. The farmers are financially over
burdened due to bank loans which is the reason that after every half an hour a farmer
commits suicide in India. He stressed that the cost of production should be
fixed by giving 50% profit to the farmers as is being done in BJP ruled states.
Chattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, while welcoming
the delegates said that he feels proud of holding such a big event in his
state. He explained the achievements made in the state in short period of seven
years of his rule. He told that in Chhattisgarh, government is providing
electricity supply round the clock and 600 units free supply of electricity to
the farmers besides provision of bank loan @ 3% interest. The government is
providing Atta and rice to the BPL families @ Rs. 2 and Rs. 3 per kg
respectively.
BJP National President Nitin Gadkari, while addressing the
concluding session of the Shivir, said that due to wrong policies of
Congress-led UPA government, the farmers are being made to suffer. Many of them
even commit suicide as their crops fail due to floods, droughts and
non-availability of fertilizers and seeds in-time. How much concerned the BJP governments in the
states have been towards the mitigation of the problems being faced by farmers
and their welfare is clear from the fact that many of our Chief Ministers have
been conferred with awards for working towards welfare and upliftment of the
farming community.
From J&K State BJP Kissan Morcha State President Karan
Singh projected the issues like need to provide bank loan to farmers @ 3
percent, provision of 50% subsidy on farming tools, construction of canal from
Ranjit Dam for Irrigation purpose, provision of Irrigation facilities to
saffron crop in the valley, allocation of separate funds for Irrigation of land
for Agricultural purpose. He further said that J&K government should learn
from the BJP ruled states where farmers are progressing day by day. From
J&K State a delegation of 13 members of the Morcha under the leadership of
Karan Singh State president of BJP Kissan Morcha attended the shivir. The
