US Airways is reducing its service to Mexico in response to the H1N1 swine flu outbreak.
The reductions are to 12 destinations, including Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Cancun and Guadalajara.
In total, the carrier will cut its Mexican flight schedule by 38 percent by operating smaller aircraft and reducing the frequency of flights to certain destinations. None of US Airways’ destinations in Mexico will be left entirely without service.
The H1N1 flu has hit Mexico City hard, and cases have been reported in Arizona, New York and other U.S. locations.
