Photographer Mkemo London has compiled a compelling collection of black and white photographs for his first coffee table book, Portrait of Asia. Mr. London seized the opportunity to use his spare time while serving in the US Navy, to photograph his travels in Asia.
This photography book is a look into the lives of Asian people in Japan, China and Thailand. Experience this collection of black and white photographs from the streets, subways and culture of downtown Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan to Hong Kong and Thailand, as well as the proud history of Hiroshima and the Great Buddha of Kamakura. The collection is divided into two sections; People and Places. People, represents the intimate portraits of the public as well as individuals encountered throughout Asia. Places, is made up of sites that represent the architectural, historical and urban landscape throughout this land. Each photograph is titled with the description, place and year.
