Van Persie’s conditions to Manchester United

The story of Robin van Persie leaving Arsenal has been on the tip of every EPL follower’s lips. So far, clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus showed their interests on him. In returns, Van Persie showed his most interest on joining Manchester United, but only if he gets paid as much as Wayne Rooney.

The twenty-eight years old dutch striker has been playing outstanding for his club over the last few seasons. On 11 April 2012, after scoring the penalty against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a 3–0 away win, he became the second player to score against 17 different Premier League opponents in a single campaign and the leading goal scorer of the 2011-2012 Premier League campaign with 30 goals to his name.

Despite of having such a wonderful season in Arsenal, Van Persie denied to sign again for the gunners. Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger says:

“For me, Van Persie is one of the best strikers in the world, if not the best, and my desire is to keep him at the Club.”

“Robin was an exceptional leader last year."

“If the transfers happen, they happen. As long as you are at the Club you give your best for the Club and that is the only pride you can have as a football player and as a manager."

“As long as you are somewhere you give your best every day for that club. If it changes, it changes. I am convinced that Robin is like that, he is completely focused every day on his job. He loves football, he loves the game and as long as he is here he will do that.”

Arsenal has put a £30m price tag on Robin Van Persie.

Manchester United accepted Van Persie’s condition of paying a wage of £220,000 per week, as much as Wayne Rooney, only if the Gunners are ready to leave him for less than £20m.

Robin van Persie said he would like to play alongside Wayne Rooney for the Red Devils. He said he will put Manchester United over Manchester City and Juventus.
