Melbourne: New research results from Oxford University say that people who eat only vegetables – with vegetarians at high risk – are at risk for a number of health problems.
Vitamin B12 is very essential for the human body and it is found in abundance in meat, fish and milk. Not all the vegetables have all the necessary vitamins and only a few vegetables have essential vitamins for human body. Deficiency of Vitamin B12 causes anemia, in serious cases, can potentially cause severe and irreversible damage to the nervous system, including Sub acute combined degeneration of the spinal cord. So those people who have vegetarian food alone may get brain shrinking according to the announced results. The study used people age 61 to 87 and from a pool 107 people and used brain scanning to validate its results.
