VHP & PK condemn Dr. Farooq’s statement

Jammu, April 28 (Scoop News)- Dr. Ramakant Dubey, Sangrakshak of VHP &. Lila Karan Sharma, President VHP, J&K State strongly condemned Dr. Farooq Abdullah for his yesterday’s remarks that “If India does not remain secular, then I challenges that Kashmir will not be a part of India as Kashmiris don’t accept communalism”. They further stated that India was secular from the “Day one” when it attained Independence & even prior to independence, credentials of India were secular.

They further stated that Jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of India & nobody on the earth can change this status. The Accession of Jammu & Kashmir with India was completed in 1947 & the Article 370, which is a temporary provision came into force on 26th January, 1950. Jammu-Kashmir is not the property of the Abdullah family & making such irrelevant & anti-national statements shows his frustration. To get the votes of the majority community in valley & giving such types of irresponsible statements by a senior leader is not desirable & condemned by all the communities of the state. This appear that the leaders of NC are doing all this on behalf of the Congress party whose leaders are mum & have not uttered even a single word about the irresponsible statement of Dr. Farooq Abdullah. It also appears that the Congress party is fully backing the NC leader & allowed him to make such irresponsible statement. They also stated that the Dr. Farooq Abdullah is an opportunist & change his colours according to his suitability. It is the same Farooq Abdullah who asked the Kashmiri youth to go to Pakistan for arms training & due to these misdeeds of Farooq Abdullah the whole nation in general & Kashmiri community in particular are the victims of his misdeeds.

They also demanded that Election Commissioner of India should immediately take into cognizance of antinational statements of Dr. Abdullah & got registered FIR.
Rajesh Gupta vice president VHP, Dr. Sham Lal Gupta General secretary VHP & Dr. V.K. Gupta Vishesh Sampark Pramukh VHP were also present in the press conference.

Meanwhile the Political Affairs Committee of Panun Kashmir also takes a serious view of the statements made by certain senior politicians of Kashmir during their election campaign in Kashmir. The statements regarding secularism and communalism, Article 370, the so-called resolution of Kashmir issue, Kashmir remaining a part of India in the event Narender Modi becoming the Prime Minister of India and dumping the Modi voters in the sea etc are beyond imagination. Senior politicians and particularly the Union Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah making such statements are seditious in character and are tantamount to hoodwinking the public opinion and creating animosity between different sections of the society.

In a meeting of the PAC of Panun Kashmir, which was attended by its office bearers and other members, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir reminded Dr. Farooq Abdullah that the minority community of Kashmir, the Kashmiri Pandits suffered due to the majority communalism in Kashmir all along. The National Conference rule in the Jammu and Kashmir state nourished the roots of fundamentalism and secessionism while always hiding behind the Article 370 and the autonomy plank. The Kashmiri Pandit community was subjected to social exclusion, political marginalization and economic squeeze during the NC/Congress rule in the state. The way the minority community was hounded out of Kashmir in 1989-90 speaks volumes of the so-called secularism in Kashmir. The members of the community continue to live as refugees in their own country even after 25 years of exile. Dr. Farooq Abdullah has much to explain about the genocide, ethnic cleansing and exodus of the Pandits in Kashmir since he was the head of the government while it all happened.
