As former Chief Minister (CM) of Jammu and Kashmir and ex-MLA from Bhaderwah constituency, Ghulam Nabi Azad is not willing to contest from his home town keeping in view the drastic changes in the mood of electorates, Congress has reportedly decided to play tricks with its voters by keeping suspense on the Congress candidate contesting form Bhaderwah constituency and using the name of Ghulam Nabi Azad. Sources in Congress disclosed that Congress workers in a meeting held at Jammu have been directed to influence the voters by saying that Ghulam Nabi Azad himself is contesting from the Assembly segment Bhaderwah, but at the last moment instead of Ghulam Nabi Azad, Congress MLC, Mohammed Sharief Niaz is likely to file nomination papers if Congress High Commanded did not clear the name of Azad’s brother, Mustafa Azad, However, Congress MLC Mohammad Sharif Naiz has been assigned the job to continue election campaign for Congress in the constituency.
Keeping an eye on re-entering into the national politics, sources said that some other factors like popularity of NC (keeping in view Chief Ministerial Candidate Farooq Abdullah) and BJP (Keeping in view the Amarnath land row) have developed some fear psychoses in Congress particularly in the mind of Azad, due o which he is not willing to contesting fearing unfavorable results which may put an adverse impact on his reputation. The other major factor which is emerging as a major challenge for NC, BJP and particularly Congress is unity among the neglected section of villagers who constitutes 70 to 75 percent of electorates in the Bhaderwah Assembly segment.
The villagers have united for the first time in 61 years against all the mainstream political parties and are supporting a retired educationist and ex-serviceman, Master (Retd.) Fazal Alam Wani. Relevant to mention here that since the elections have been announced for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, people in large number particularly villagers and those remained ignored and neglected in every aspect have of development etc had started joining the hands of Master Fazal Alam Wani. The entire Chiralla belt of villages which has 15, 000 voters have united and people have decided to reject all those political parties which have befooled them during the past particularly, NC Congress, BJP, BSP and SP.
Not only Chiralla belt of villages but also neglected slot of villagers from Bhaderwah and Bhalessa have expressed their faith on Master Fazal Alam Wani and decided to vote for him.
The hold of Master Fazal Alam Wani and the mood of villagers could be observed by the incidents happned during the past few days when people in large number rocked the villagers of Bhaderwah, Lowharthawa and Sunarthawa with anti Congress slogans on the arrival of Congress District President, Nareesh Gupta who was leading an election campaign party.
PDP also met the same fate while NC candidate Mohammed Aslam Goni who is on the tour of Chiralla area for last several days did to get encouraging response as only few people are giving him company but it is not certain that will they vote for NC or not?
BJP candidate Diya Krishan Kotwal who has attempted to conduct a tour of Chiralla had to return from Panshai village, on seeing, unfavorable response of the villagers.
Interestingly, as reports are coming, villagers have decided to continue whispering campaign in favour of independent candidate Master Fazal Alam Wani, but to extract money from the mainstream political leaders they are not missing any chance to lighten the pockets of Congress, BJP, PDP, and NC candidates. Political analysts say that this time Master Fazal Alam Wani has 90 % chances of shaking the political history of Bhaderwah constituency. He is very popular among the villagers and poor section of the society. The constituency is going for polls of December 17 in the sixth face.
