New Delhi (GR-TYP-BIN): According to the latest reports of ‘The Hindu’, final voter turnout is 67.08%, (89 lakh voters).
In view of the heavy voter turnout, the Election Commission extended the voting time beyond the scheduled deadline of 6 pm to enable those in the queues to exercise their franchise on February 7.
The closely watched Delhi Assembly elections have turned out to be a direct contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party unlike the 2013 elections which threw up a fractured mandate.
