Thanks Giving Ceremony Held.

CHITRAL:  Residents of Koh area in collaboration of Koh Integrated Development Program (KIDP) celebrated a thanks-giving ceremony in honor of Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan in recognition of his dedicated, sincere services and continue efforts for installation of VPTCL in the area.  UC Koh  consisting on thousands of households but it was totally deprived from telephone facility since creation of the country. District Nazim Chitral Maghfirat Shah was chief guest on the occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Akhunzada Rahmatullah Naib Ameer Jamati Islami Chitral. The speakers paid rich tribute to Sartaj Ahmad Khan who success to install a VPTCL tower by his continue efforts and correspondence with high ups of Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited as a result they approved a V. phone tower in the area which will be connected these people to other parts of the country and Chitral. Speakers on the occasion said that if the leadership in the hand of brave and talent people a weak nation also could achieve their target. They also appreciated sacrifice of Akhunzada Rahmatullah who donated free land for this purpose. As well as Haji Ghaffar Khan provided logistic support carrying of material and tower from down districts in his own truck.

The speakers declared on the occasion that during a survey it was disclosed that 90% people complained of non-availability of communication network, which was great hurdles in the way of development, and the area remained backward. They said a committee for installation of telephone detailed under the chair of Sartaj Ahmad khan PTCL committee collected charity from different schools of the area for expenditure of correspondence in this regard and success to do an impossible work under supervision and leadership of Sartaj Ahmad. They said that this was a long awaited demand of this area. They also complained of some politicians and elected representatives who did nothing in this regard. The speakers also thanked Agha Khan Rural Support Program (AKRSP) for providing technical and financial support to KIDP who streamlines their resources and success the LSO.

Sartaj Ahmad Khan said that he meet so many times with high ups of PTCL in this regard and perused the case as a result General Manager NTC of PTCL Khalid Ahmad approved a tower of VPTCL for this area. He also thanked Mr. Khalid GM PTCL for his support and cooperation. He said that I am trying of my best to installed tower of V phone at other remote and non-accessible areas of Chitral where there is no phone facility. Elites of the area also presented traditional Chitrali Chugha (Cloak) to guests and media men.

District Nazim Maghfirat Shah appreciated endeavors of Sartaj Ahamd Khan who also success Athak irrigation channel which was a tough job and impossible to be implemented. He said sincerity must for achieving the target and destination. He termed it first step and initiative toward development of this area. He stressed upon the local people to maintain their mutual harmony because unity must for success and development. He said that although me a extremist worker of Jamat Islami but even than I am ready for all sorts of cooperation for uplifting the area.

Akhunzada Rahmatullah who was presiding over the ceremony termed  following of Quranic educations for all kind of success and development. He also appreciated volunteer services rendered by local people who did work day and night and installed the tower within 24 hours. A large number of people belonging to all walks of life were present on the occasion.
