PESHAWAR, Apr 11 :-
Waziristan Mujahideen Agency Saturday directed the tribesmen to boycott government by halting all kind of help and assistance to the state as a protest against drone attacks and frequent violations of the peace accord made with tribesmen of South Waziristan Agency.
The Waziristan Mujahideen made the appeal in a pamphlet distributed in Wana, headquarters of South Waziristan Agency.
The tribal people are warned not to help the government in terms of finances, physical and verbal and anyone caught doing so would be responsible for his action, said the one page pamphlet titled ‘Zaroori Elan’ (Important Announcement).
Following is the detailed text of the pamphlet:
“The valiant people of Waziristan are directed to boycott the government. The Government of Pakistan is engaged in bombardment on Waziristan Taliban for long time and resorting to peace pact.
But the Waziristan Mujahideen in order to maintain peace, showed extreme forbearance and tolerated the injustices of the government.
Now the Waziristan Mujahideen have decided not to fight and instead adopt defensive line of action.
Therefore, all the tribesmen are informed to boycott the government and not to extend any help to the government both financially, physically and verbally and if anyone was caught after this notice, he would be responsible for his action”. The pamphlet concluded with the word ‘Az Taraf’ (From) Mujahideen Waziristan.
