Vinanti Castellarin: Multimedia professional working in celebrating global cultural diversity and world religions. So little is known of next door neighbors within these two catagories that it is time to promote issues on racial profiling and discrimination, verbal abuse, attacks on strangely dressed and languages. There is a great need for compassion, forgiveness, peace and harmony ... which carries over to my career as a New York digital/HD filmmaker and print/photographer journalist. My last film "MISTAKEN IDENTITY: A 9/11 Story" winner of 3 first prize awards at American Film Festival six months after its official release, has traveled across the USA, Canada, UK to EU. It simply explained through the eyes of 21-year old Amanda Gesine from Greenwich, CT what happened to Sikh Americans, mistaken for terrorists, simply because they wore turbans and beards. Our next assignment is a TV series on the oldest religion: "JAIN ENLIGHTENMENT - A Way of Life" which takes viewers back to the future of 6000 B.C. long before Buddha, Christ, Mohammad, Moses, etc. Life was so much simplier ... but the art/sculptures, temples, sciences aimed towards perfection ... which will be celebrated during the Rubin Museum of Art (RMA-www.rmanyc.org) from September 18, 2009 - February 15, 2010. For the first time mainstream America will be presented with "VICTOROUS ONES: Jain Images of Perfection" depicting the 24 Tirthankaras who sanctified spaces throughout the vast reaches of the cosmos ... depicted on painted maps of the Jain universe ... worshipped at famous pilgrimage sites.
