The Indian woman who has been suspended from the post in Heathrow Airport was allowed to rejoin wearing the nose ring. The company authorities decided to reabsorb Amrith Lalji considering her appeal against the company.
Amrith Lalji was in the crew of British Airways V.I.P launch. The authorities suspended her saying that wearing a nose ring was against their company laws.
Lalji who was 43 and a follower of Hinduism argued that she has been wearing the ring for 25 years and in her community wearing the nose ring by married women is a custom.
Later the company changed their decision. Authorities also agreed that suspending Lalji was not at all impartial.
