Andrew Lloyd Webber has been readmitted to hospital after developing an infection during cancer surgery.
Webber confirmed last month that he was suffering from prostate cancer and his spokesperson said that he was aiming to be working again "before the end of the year".
In an update on Webber’s website, his representative claims that Webber won’t be back at work until the New Year.
"Andrew has been readmitted to hospital tonight following his operation for prostate cancer," read the message. "He has been advised that while the operation was entirely successful, he has developed a post-operative ‘chronic infection’ which needs immediate treatment. He still hopes to be back at work in the New Year."
