The following are my opinions, based on what I have learned about this case during the past four years, along with information from the English translation of Judge Massei’s motivation report, issued following the conviction of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito, for the murder of Meredith Kercher on Nov 1, 2007, a student residing in an apartment in Perugia, Italy, with three other young women, one also a student, Amanda.
During the hearings leading up to the conviction of Amanda and Raffaele on Dec. 4, 2009, the prosecution addressed the court, claiming Amanda’s phone connected with a cell tower that indicates she was not at Raffaele’s flat the evening Meredith was murdered, when she said she was there.
MISLEADING CELL PHONE EVIDENCE, FROM JUDGE MASSEI’S MOTIVATION REPORT REPORT:
PHONE RECORDS SHOW AMANDA WAS AT RAFFAELE’S FLAT AT 8:18 PM, THE EVENING OF THE CRIME CONTRARY TO WHAT WAS SAID BY THE AUTHORITIES, AND I THINK THE AUTHORITIES USED A TYPO IN AN ATTEMPT TO HIDE THEIR LIE. IF THEY ARE CAUGHT THEY WILL BLAME THEIR LIE ON THE TYPIST.
SUMMARY: If you follow through what I’m explaining you will see that the Massei report contradicts it’s self again. In the following the judge’s report is saying Amanda was not at Raffaele’s flat when she said she was, because she received a call (text message) from Patrick Lumumba at 20:18:12 [8:18 PM] , and the call connected to a cell tower that does not service Raffaele’s flat. Based on the information in the Massei report, it appears the cell tower does in-fact service Raffaele’s flat because four phone calls at Raffaele’s flat connected with that cell tower. It seems apparent that the authorities attempted to use a typo to hide their lie but failed again.
To understand the following note that cell towers are identified by the street they are located on.
THE FOLLOWING IS QUOTED FROM THE MASSEI REPORT:
MASSEI REPORT PAGE 322: “− 20:18:12 [8:18 PM]:
“Amanda receives the SMS sent to her by Patrick Lumumba, which let her off from having to go to work at the ‚ Le Chic‛ pub on the evening of 1 November. At the time of reception the phone connected to the cell on Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3, whose signal does not reach Raffaele Sollecito’s house. The young woman was therefore far [i.e. absent] from Corso Garibaldi 30 [Raffaele’s address] when the SMS reached her, as she was walking in an area which was shown to be served by the Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3 cell. This point of her route could correspond to Via U. Rocchi, to Piazza Cavallotti, to Piazza IV Novembre, bearing in mind that Lumumba’s pub is located in Via Alessi, and that Amanda Knox would have had to travel along the above-mentioned roads and the piazza in order to reach the pub” (end quote)
Cell tower Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3 connected with 4 phone calls made from Raffaele’s house on Nov 2, 2007. Also see the table below for a format easier to decipher]
MASSEI REPORT, PHONE RECORDS, QUOTES, PAGE 323, NOTE: The following is a list of four calls and the cell tower locations. All four calls were connected with this cell tower while the phones were at Raffaele’s flat. This is the same cell tower that Amanda’s phone connected with at 20:18:12 [8:18 PM] that the authorities said did not service Raffaele’s flat. Obviously a lie. :
“-12.08.44 (lasted 68 seconds) Amanda calls Romanelli Filomena on number 347-1073006; the mobile phone connects to the Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3 cell (which covers Sollecito’s house)
“− 12:11:02 (3 seconds) the Vodafone number 348-4673711 belonging to Meredith (this is the one [i.e. SIM card] registered to Romanelli Filomena) is called and its answering service is activated (cell used: Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3 “
“− 12:11:54 (4 seconds): another call is made towards Meredith’s English mobile phone number (the cell used is the one in Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3, thus compatible with Sollecito’s house)”
“− 12:12:35 (lasting 36 seconds) Romanelli Filomena calls Amanda Knox (No. 348-4673590); Amanda receives the call connecting to the cell on Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3 (still at Raffaele’s house)”
CELL TOWER SIGNAL STRENGTH MEASURED BY POLICE AT RAFFAELE’S FLAT.
FROM MASSEI’S REPORT PAGE 318:
“1. The area around the defendant’s [Raffaele] home was reached by a very strong signal ……..; furthermore the signals of other cells are also powerful, ……………, pylon in Via dell’Acquilla -Torre dell’Acquedotto sectors 3 and 9.” (end quote)
If Via dell’Acquilla -Torre dell’Acquedotto sectors 3 is such a powerful cell tower signal at Raffaele’s flat, then why did none of the phone call listed in the Massei report connect with that cell tower? I think it’s because a cell tower by that name does not exist, and the tower Amanda’s phone connected with is the one they measured this strong signal from, then changed the tower’s street name.
So, what is the correct spelling Acquilla or Aquila? I Googled Acquilla (Via dell’Acquilla), and apparently it isn’t a word. I checked with Google maps and Via dell’Acquilla is not a street in Perugia Italy, but Aquila is, so this must be a typo at a convenient location in Massei’s report, and likely should be Via dell’Aquila (one L).
Acquilla (Via dell’Acquilla) only appears here one time in the Massei report, further indicating a cell tower by that name does not exist.
One L, or two? Conclusion: Apparently the authorities are using a typo in the hopes that their lie will not be discovered about this text message to Amanda which they say indicates she was not at Raffaele’s the evening Meredith was murdered, when in fact the phone records indicate she was where she said she was. A cell tower located at a street named Via dell’Acquilla -Torre dell’Acquedotto does not exist, and a street by that name does not exist. Also it should be noted that Acquila translated to the English word ‘eagle’. Acquilla does not translate to an English word, so the word does not exist.

MASSEI REPORT QUOTE PAGE 322: “− 20:18:12 [8:18 PM]: Amanda receives the SMS sent to her by Patrick Lumumba, which let her off from having to go to work at the ‚Le Chic‛ pub on the evening of 1 November. At the time of reception the phone connected to the cell on Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3, whose signal does not reach Raffaele Sollecito’s house.” (end quote)
This table displays the phone record information in a format easier to understand, demonstrating the cell tower signal does reach Raffaele Sollecito’s house. .
After you digest all the above go to injusticeinperugia and take a look at who lied, and what time the two post police officers actually arrived at Meredith’s apartment.
