February 7th is Chinese New Year. My hometown, Kobe, has a Chinatown called “Nankin-machi.” It is the one of the three biggest Chinatowns in Japan. The others are in Yokohama and Nagasaki. I like visiting “Nankin-machi.” I love its lively atmosphere and enjoy the good food. During February 7th to 11th, “Nankin-machi” hosts a Chinese New Year celebration. There are various fun events including the Lion Dance (shishimai), which attract many locals and tourists every year. I wish I could be there!
