Poetry From The Heart
Don’t twiddle your thumbs as I search your face
rugged looks cause my heart…soul to quake.
The power in your hug allows me to know
there’s love in your heart…you don’t want to show.
The moon lights the night as you kiss my eyes
white teeth grin…I’m in for an amazing surprise.
We’ll howl at the moon and stars in the sky
catch fireflies as they dip, dart and fly.
Listen as cattails whine in gusts of wind
watch dark figured shadows appear to bend.
Shout and sing as echoes ring to and fro
forget moments until its time to go.
We’ll lie in the lush hidden from the world
as our bodies hang tight putting us in a whirl.
Deposit love in our hearts as we fancy a flow
then perhaps he’ll not be afraid to tell me so.
The darkness of night steals the shyness away
as he kisses my lips in a special sort-a way.
Don’t twiddle your thumbs as I search your face
and neglect obscurity to filch your assurance.
We’ll perform kisses in the light of the moon
as fireflies dip, dart and fly past in a zoom.
Don’t twiddle your thumbs as I search your face
give my heart a reason to thump and race…
Don’t twiddle your thumbs as I search your face.
