Westin’s Unwind with Amman, enters the last week

Westin Dhaka’s unwind for this month with designer & artist Amman Rashid enters the last week as the program has already succeeded to draw much appreciation and applause from the visitors and foreign guests at the five-star hotel in Gulshan.  As a global signatory treat offered to the guests for a refreshing transition during the evening time, Westin Dhaka has been hosting this month long event on ornament making. This event is being managed by Cool Exposure.

Amman Rashid displays making of his own brand Aadi’s items during the two-hour period around sunset at the Westin lobby with some special arrangements for the guests to attend. Every session took place till now, drew a good amount of onlookers, both guests and visitors who enjoyed watching the designer working on the unique ornaments in front of them. Guests liked the ornaments and collected those during the demonstrations, as they were welcome to watch Amman’s exclusive art-works (each item is a specimen one), at least five days (except Saturday& Friday) a week from around 6 pm to 8 pm.  

The event launched on 1^st of July 2008 (at Level-1 of Westin, Gulshan-2, Dhaka) will continue up to 31^st of this month. Westin decided to initiate the program to uphold the indigenous trend of Bangladeshi ornament making.  

Apart from enjoying the artiste live at work, guests could pursue the artiste with particular order to be produced by him right away. The ornaments are also put on display for sale at a stall that remains open only for that time period till last day of the month.

Amman’s artworks are unique in the sense that each item is different from each other and are the out-come of hard labor, sweat and passion. The ornaments meant for the delight of all age brackets for daily attiring, made of different types of thread, dry seed, dry fruits, shells, snails, mud or left-over naturals materials. Considered as a Westin ritual, all Unwind programs include interactive activity on food or beverage demonstration, cultural, educational or game show. Usually, the activity is free of charge to guests.
