Was not my birthday this week end but if it would have been, would have been the perfect one then!
This started late, as I left office at 8pm to finish the best report I ever made… answer to tough work I had I the past 2 weeks. As a celebration, I went to Pierre’s party in DongBeiRen restaurant where I met Irina & Joon, Audrey, Zhen and his Berenice and some of you, I didn’t met since a while…
Was nice, even I felt so tired, I was glad meeting you. A small bunch of us went to Cottons ( I still don’t like this place!) where a crazy canadian guy jumped on me to advertise his coming play ( The Dining Room, on June 21st 8pm in Pudong Nan lu). This guy looked so passionated that I though would be nice that we go there…
Also talked to this british jet-set lady who told me she enjoyed so much Xintiandi and that her L’ile de la Cite (1st corner in Paris, France) was great but not enough expensive… felt being in another world where money you’ve got and job you do means more that you who are and what you think. Must confess I felt so happy when she left and Christine helped me laugh of it and Matias spoke about his love for dogs… unique and simple people that I appreciate much… was exhausted and went back home… try deseparately to call Nick as this Xingjiang guy kept on calling me (thanks my dear Nick… )
Some hours later, was meeting in Xujiahui my dear Christine and another cute french lady Laure in a cheap but nice Thai restaurant. The lunch was good (3pm) and helped us go for shopping looking around to find Shanghai’s sexshop in order to find a lovely and sexy T-pack string with an elephant nose to offer to Luc for his 23rd birthday which we unfortunately did not found… anyway, was funny… shopping time with these ladies was nice and I specially appreciated to try the ugliest clothes as possible we found with Laure! That was awesome!! Hehe
By the end of the day, after looking for celery everywhere as Luc is a celery lover, we found a cute girly red T-shirt which said: “Celery is the best vegetable ever. You can find it in all places of the world!” and we were ready to join Luc’s birthday! With good wine, and good friends we enjoyed this party. I loved to dance with you Luc in the kitchen, didn’t know you were a so good dancer 😉 also had a nice moment with Pierre and a nice talk with Christine…
5 of us finally convinced a taxidriver to lead us to Zapata’s where we finished this party with Luc, Pierre, Sasha, Mellie and I. We had fun and I appreciated to dance with all of you, special thanks to Sasha for the drinks and the boxe-dance (french boxe hehe) and Happy birthday to Luc! Was cool dancing with you on the bar 😉
Went back home a bit high at around 4am… anyway, except us, we had a lot of shanghaiese ladies dancing with old fat germans…
On Sunday, wake up at 12am, after a movemented sleep with Afu with bite my foot during night as I had the tremendous idea not to close the door of my bedroom and Afu is crazy about my foot. Joined around 1pm Amandine, Xiaojui and Artem with my colleague Mingming to have brunch in Sasha’s, Hengshan lu. With the perfect weather, nice music and nice friends this was so good!! Artem left us and we started then a long march along the French concession in girls band… shopping time, good walk under the shadow of the trees, found some old and very charming shanghaiese houses with big gardens. Special thanks to Mingming, my friends really liked you and we had good moment together!
Then, around 7pm Waylok and Nick joined us at Lujiazui where my jazzy friends were dancing along the riverside promenade lighten up by the Bund illuminations and watched by passengers amazed eyes. They went to Starbucks and I went to dance. The jazzy friends warmly hosted me and gave me the wish to go back to the class asap. Special thanks to Pierre who insisted so much for that I come. There, I was so glad to meet again Sebastien who just comes back from France and Randy who is here one week but promised to come back very soon. Also saw again Caroline on top form, Camille beautiful as usual and Orchid!! (If you wanna, you can glimps an eye on shanghaiswings.com)
Special merci: Hey Nick! You, crazy guy… I’m so glad you joined us to dance and appreciated it!! Hope to dance again with you soon… Also, you are the best 😉 You convinced everyone to join us for Xiaolongxia which makes me so happy (even Seb risked to come hehe! ) and thanks for meeting me so much this week… anytime is a great time with you! 😉
Finally went back home a bit high, so happy of this week end! Hope to see you all again very soon to have others great moments like this! Make me like so much to be in Shanghai in these times…
