Here is something for us to ponder about. What if Adam never disobeyed? I offer no Scripture for this. This is a discussion on "What If?"
Many times throughout the years Holy Spirit has drawn me to thinking about this very thing, and wondering what life would be like living in Eden.
Have you ever stopped to ponder, "What if?"
What if Adam and Eve had never disobeyed God, never broken God’s one command, never eaten from the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil"? Most importantly, as humans we would never know that "Evil" exists. We would only know goodness, and God’s love.
Keep in mind that Eden is and was a part of Earth. It is not Heaven, but who knows, maybe God would move Heaven to Earth.
First and foremost, we would know God and we could share an intimate relationship with God and with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We could walk with them any time we chose to for they would always be available to be with us.
We would know and recognize both Adam an Eve, our ancestors, and we would be able to meet and visit people like Moses, Isaiah, David, and others, only their history, their historical biblical value would not be, for sin never got started. Since death never got introduced into society we would live for an eternity.
We would have our own spacious house or apartment to live in, in a mansion created and built by God.
We could eat what we liked, when we liked, meats, fish, poultry, game meats, veggies, grains, fruits, so long as we avoided that one tree, without any fears of such things as high blood pressure, or, cancer, or, food poisonings, or, alergies, or drunkenness, or, any other sickness, illness we face today.
There would be but one language, so that we could easily converse with anyone we met. We would all receive any necessary education we might need and be trained up to work however we choose to.
We would not simply lay around doing nothing for we would work daily in the field that we chose to work in and if we chose to change our profession, all of the necessary training would be provided freely. The one special difference would be, that we worked because we desired to work, not for the "Almighty Dollar" for there would be no need for money of any kind.
We would recognize the change from day to day from the change from light to darkness each day but time would be irrelivent to us when Our body needed food we would eat, or sleep we would sleep.
There would be no multi-levels of government, governments would not exist, we would live under the ruling of our God. There would be no need for police, or any of the multitude of services that police provide, for there would be no crime, no criminals.
We would still have a need for doctors, although illnesses like cancer, and heart attack, all of the deadly illnesses would not exist, but that doesn’t mean we might not fall, or, cut ourselves or, get a sprain or a break if we were not careful.
There would be no need for Psycologists or Psychiatrists for mental illnesses would not exist.
Chances are we could go anywhere we desired to go whether it be a desert, or snow-capped mountains simply by thinking of it, so a vacation could happen whenever we desired, to whereever we desired. You could visit Rome, or Athens, or Israel, or Toronto, or Washington BC, and do it without a passport or a visa because we are all under God’s Government, not individual governing bodies of different countries or states.
Wouldn’t it be great to be eating breakfast along the shorelie of Toronto, then have lunch in Corinth, and dinner in Hong Kong simply by thinking the destination and poof you’re there.
The best part of this whole what if life would be that anytime day or night we wanted to visit with God or Jesus the pathway and the gates to heaven would be right there and we would be able to visit anytime we wanted.
The last thing to consider is that if Adam had never sinned, there would have been no need, no reason, for Jesus to have suffered.
