As global hysteria for cricket reaches fever pitch, The Times of India and Dubai’s Khaleej Times have launched Indian Premier League portals covering every dimension of the vaunted cricket tournament.
The portals serve up headlines, scores, photos, and profiles on the cricket competition. Fanatics can track schedules and watch slideshows, or get granular by reading up on teams and players.
Already in its second season, the IPL kicked off last week in South Africa to a media frenzy. The BBC reports that an average of 80% of tickets are selling for every match, and over 100 Facebook groups have been created around the games.
Daylife– which powered both portals– has more information here.
