The NWFP Minister for Auqaf, Hajj and Religious Affairs has said, unity among Muslims is the need of the hour and it is incumbent upon intellectuals, journalists and scholars of all sects to play their effective role in this regard.
This, he said, while addressing as chief guest at the 30th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution of Iran at Khana-e-Farang – Iran, Peshawar on Tuesday.
The Provincial Minister said that Jewish today was out to divide Muslims and hatching conspiracy to eliminate them from the glob. But as Muslim we should realize the situation and promote sectarian harmony among our ranks so that nefarious designs against Islam could not fulfill, he added.
On this occasion, the provincial minister also highlighted the steps taken by the provincial government for promoting interfaith harmony among different sects.
He appreciated the efforts of Director General Khana-e-Farang Iran Syed Zakari, Counselor General Islamic Republic Iran Ali Asghari and other organizers for arranging soul purging event in connection with Eid Melad un Nabi and expressed the hope that their efforts will go a long way in promotion of interfaith harmony in Ummah.
Earlier, DG Syed Muhamad Asghari while presenting the welcome address thanked the chief guest and other participants and extended Eid Milad un Nabi’s congratulations to them.
Counselor General said that Islam is the religion of peace, unity and integrity and we should shun our pitty differences and tied up our self with the golden teachings of Islam. On this occasion, religious scholars, intellectuals presented various proposals for promoting interfaith harmony in Ummah.
