Jammu,October 26 (Scoop News) – Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir’s accession with Union of India is full and final, the BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas today said that no body can dare to challenge it and any one who does should be put behind the bars.
Jammu and Kashmir became a part of India like other states through an Instrument of Accession signed by the then Late Maharaja Hari Singh and supported by the then popular Kashmiri leader Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah. This accession cannot be challenged by any one, Manhas said addressing a massive public rally at R.S. Pura organized in connection with the celebrations of “Accession Week”, by State BJP through out the state.
Those who raise questions should know that Article-3 of J&K constitution which says “Jammu Kashmir is and shall continue to be an integral part of India”. Hence, there is no scope for any one to raise fingers on the finality of the accession of this border state to India and therefore the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who has challenged this issue by making controversial statement on the floor of house recently, has even crossed limits by uttering unconstitutional words, and hence he should be sacked and put behind the bars.
Regretting that the personal friendship between Nehru and Sheikh Abdullah had messed up Kashmir issue, Manhas said that it had adversely affected the people living in Jammu and Ladakh regions because of the incorporation of Article-370 at the instance of Nehru. The successive governments were always Kashmir-centric who have always discriminated against the people of other two regions making them to suffer economically and otherwise. He lamented that we were not slaves prior to 1947 but became so virtually after 1947 when the vestibules of power remained with the Kashmir leadership throughout. He appealed the masses to get united and remain steadfast like they did during 2008 land row agitation as this is the only way to get rid of injustices and teach lesson to anti-national and separatist forces.
Former State President & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, while commenting on the utterances of the recently nominated interlocutors, said that they should know that it is the Pakistani troops which have caused havoc on our borders through firings and shellings giving sleepless nights to our farmers. Farmers near the borders have suffered huge losses of their crops, properties and cattle due to Pakistani firing and shelling. It is because of our army and security forces that they still stay in border villages, he added. He said that the PM and the CM should remember the 2008 land row agitation and not test the patience of the nationalist people in the state. The interlocutors should be asked to remain in limits and not make any comments which are against the national interests in the state.
MLAs Prof. Gharu Ram and Shyam Choudhary, on this occasion, said that the there seems a rate race between the separatists, PDP and NC to prove as to who is more against India. It was in this regard that Omar Abdullah raised question over the accession as he was feeling that the separitists and PDP leaders were ahead of him in valley. They said that Omar Abdullah’s grandfather was jailed for 22 years for speaking against the nation and the right place for Omar Abdullah is also behind the bars. They said that no one is above constitution and parliament and the state chief minister has insulted both. They said that the only problem between India and Pakistan is vacation of the illegally occupied PoK and sincere efforts should be made by the union as well as the state government to get these areas back by all means.
