The American people are now eager to know who will be their next president come election time. Presidential wannabes were said to be up in their toes and are now showing their individual capabilities and interests in getting the coveted position of chief executive of the most powerful country in the world. As the current trend may suggest, the Democrats are leading in popularity. Mrs. Clinton and the neophyte Senator Barak Obama are the two most prominent figures that the American public wants to install in the Whitehouse. But is the US ready to have a woman president or a neophyte politician who is not familiar in foreign policy? The question maybe is not an issue to the American voters but the bottom line is that the US has a responsibility in the world. Electing a US leader is a matter of international interest where world affairs come to the fore often with the initiative or influence of the United States of America. Having a US president elected in popular votes without the quality of being tough and brave enough to face the emerging treats of the 21st century is quite alarming. In this case, not only the Americans are excited but the whole world will be waiting who will be the next US President.
