Why are people so keen to save a maniac like Gaddafi who discovered Televised Hangings?
Psychopath leader: Col. Gaddafi, the most violent maniac power-grabber that has emerged so far in the world in his 42-year rule marred with extreme cruelty, has been subjected to military punishment by allied forces. It is also reported that beyond the smoke screen of Tripoli, Gaddafi has been sending money, making different commitments and committing cheap oil supply for the Russia, China and members of NATO coalition through under-ground deals, in return of which he wants to stay in the power of Libya, even after four decades of his maniac and killer rule.
Powers with diversified interests: This is also interesting that some lobbies like Russia and China, even India is showing their dismay for the justified punishment for one of the most violent killers and the chief patron of terrorists in the world (i.e. Lockerby 747 incident). And again it is another surprise that the US and others are now claiming that their invasion is not against Gaddafi and will scale down their military attack!
Russians wants to sell Billions of Dollars of Arms, Chinese are also selling household commodities starting from dolls to drums earning billions of dollars from Libyan oil! There are US and European lobbies who are direct beneficiaries of Gaddafi’s acts, and in Texas companies want Libyan oil for enormous profit via South Korean companies!
But it will be a severe injustice to civilization if Gaddafi is retained in position, he should be removed and brought under justice through international court for his cruel acts and patronization of terrorism all over the world.
Gaddafi sheltered killers of Sheikh Mujib and patronizes terrorism: Gaddafi gave shelter to the killers of Bangladesh’s popular founder and democratically elected President of Bangladesh, Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and his whole family like Col. Rashid and Col. Faruk etc., rehabilitated them in Libya and in various parts of the world with money and other support. Libya gave huge amount of money to another dictator of Bangladesh, military ruler Ershad, in the eighties. After grabbing power in September 1, 1969, Gaddafi started to gratify his manic desires with arrests, secret and televised hangings.
Discoverer of televised hangings:
Maniac Gaddafi is the discoverer of public hanging of opposition personalities. Also, he declared that everybody, including foreigners, in Libya must watch live telecasting of hangings, or will be punished. After the hanging, he ordered the dead bodies to be kept for some times and brought children from schools to spit and kick the dead bodies. Many pregnant ladies aborted after watching such scenarios, many weak patients fainted, even died of heart attacks! This is from the practical experiences of the author who heard these from his predecessors after joining Libyan Health Ministry as a Medical Officer in eighties.
Rights groups and Gaddafi’s foes say that throughout the 1970s police and security forces arrested hundreds of Libyans who opposed, or who the authorities feared could oppose, his rule.
Student demonstrations were put down violently. Political opponents were arrested and imprisoned, or simply disappeared.
Police and security forces rounded up academics, lawyers, students, journalists, Trotskyists, communists, members of the Muslim Brotherhood and others considered "enemies of the revolution", Human Rights Watch says.
Gaddafi either killed or murdered everyone who tried to organize politically they would face repression. "I could at any moment send them to the People’s Court …and the People’s Court will issue a sentence of death based on this law, because execution is the fate of anyone who forms a political party," Gaddafi said in a speech on Nov. 9, 1974. A number of televised public hangings and mutilations of political opponents followed, rights groups say. It is now a faded memory that in 1976 Gaddafi ordered the execution of 22 officers who had participated in an attempted coup the previous year, in addition to the execution of several thousands of civilians and rights activist, as Mohamed Eljahmi has written.
