Why I Love, “The Food Network”

As a Southerner, food and a love of cooking and eating is a major part of my culture and heritage.  For as long as I can remember, preparing and eating delicious foods has been an important and enjoyable part of life in my family.  When I discovered, “The Food Network” a few years ago, I was like a kid in a candy store!  I felt like I had died and gone to Heaven! There are many different reasons why I love, “The Food Network.”

Only by watching, “The Food Network” can a person enjoy wonderful foods wearing only a t-shirt and socks! Yes, watching, “The Food Network” I can imagine myself preparing everything from a simple salad to an elaborate four course meal! All from the comfort of my couch, and without gaining an ounce! I’m not obsessing about my weight, but I did turn thirty in September and want to at least try to maintain my girlish figure for as long as the Good Lord, and my willpower, allows! That is much easier said than done! I know… I know… it would probably be helpful to back away from that delicious Chocolate Candy Bar slowly, wouldn’t it?  You certainly know how to kill my fun like a dead bug, don’t you?

I love watching the recipes on, “The Food Network” as they are being deliciously prepared and enjoyed.  Where else in TV land can a person delight in the delectable pleasure of dining without touching that dial?  By watching, “The Food Network” a person can experience the free and simple joy of delectable, delicious, dinners without the pain and suffering of ever stepping on their local treadmill. Call me crazy, but I think, “The Food Network” was the best idea in television! Now, for my most important question.  Would you elect Paula Deen President in 2008?
