Wii Review: ‘A Great Investment For All Ages’

I just recently purchased a Wii console with 4 controllers and 4 games. While I spent probably around $350 dollars on everything I have, I think it was a good investment. The Wii is supposed to be designed to make playing video games better for your health and to make gamers more active. Is this true?

In order to play a lot of the games you do have to get up and actually do the movements of the sport/game in order for it to work correclty, some of them though you can get away with sitting down. I play my Wii at least every other day, but a lot of the time I have to admit that I sit down just like I do to watch tv. I think that nintendo could make more games that the player has to actually get up and physically do a motion for it to work, now I know I havent played every game out there for the Wii but just from what I hear and what I see it seems like a lot of the games can be played like normal video games.

I ordered the Wii fit because I would like to be able to work out and have fun at the same time, and also have it where I dont have to find time to work out. Its at home and I can do it before or after work, or on my days off. It has racing, yoga, boxing etc. I think the Wii fit is more likely to help you stay active than the actual Wii itself. I know this is the point of Wii fit but all I am saying is that games for the Wii itself could be made to where you have to play the game a certain way in order to help you be active.

I love the Wii and I am very happy with my investment. I just think that some more games that make you be more active should be released. It is different from your average video game, you are more interactive but there are a few games that are kind of normal. Overall I think this product is great and is a great investment for all ages. I recommend it to anyone. It is fun to be played alone or with multiple people. I really think anyone and everyone should have this system.
